Through play children:

  • Develop eye-hand coordination
  • Explore how things work
  • Gather new ideas
  • Increase their attention span
  • Learn pre-reading and pre-writing skills

The aims of Midlothian Play Base are as follows:

  • To provide a range of equipment which is intended to provide pre-school children with stimulating resources to encourage their education through play.
  • To provide a resource base of play equipment which carers/parents can use as a lending library
